SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provisions of Section 2 of this Act are applicable to all
taxable years for corporate taxpayers beginning after
December 31, 1975.

SECTION [[2]] 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That
this Act shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning

Hearing Aid Dealers — Suspension or Revocation
of Registration

FOR the purpose of providing that a hearing aid dealer or
fitter may have his certificate of registration
suspended or revoked for giving or offering
professional advisers financial or other inducements
to secure business or to discourage business with a
competitor.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 748(8) be and it is hereby
added to Article 43 — Health, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) to
read as follows:

Article 43 - Health

748.

Any person registered under this subtitle may have
his certificate revoked or suspended for a fixed period
by the Board for any of the following causes:

(8) DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY GIVING OR OFFERING TO
GIVE MONEY OR ANYTHING OF VALUE TO ANY PERSON WHO ADVISES
ANOTHER IN A PROFESSIONAL CAPACITY AS AN INDUCEMENT TO
INFLUENCE THE PERSON, OR TO HAVE THE PERSON INFLUENCE
