OTHER RETAIL ESTABLISHMENT WITHOUT THE AUTHORIZATION OF
THE OWNER OF SUCH ESTABLISHMENT OR (D) IN ANY PARKED
VEHICLE LOCATED ON ANY OF THE FOREGOING PLACES ENUMERATED
IN THIS SUBSECTION WITHOUT SUCH AUTHORIZATION. IN THE
CASE OF PUBLIC PROPERTY, ANY GOVERNMENTAL ENTITY OWNING

OR OTHERWISE HAVING JURISDICTION OVER THE PROPERTY IS

EMPOWERED TO ADOPT BY LOCAL LAW, ORDINANCE, RULE OR

REGULATION, AS APPROPRIATE, STANDARDS PROVIDING FOR THE

AUTHORIZATION OF THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

OTHERWISE PROHIBITED BY THIS SECTION CONSISTENT WITH THE

INTENDED USE OF THE PROPERTY BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

"PUBLIC PROPERTY" INCLUDES BUILDINGS, GROUNDS, PARKS,
STREETS, HIGHWAYS, ALLEYS, SIDEWALKS, STATIONS,
TERMINALS, AND OTHER STRUCTURES, ROADS, OR PARKING AREAS
LOCATED ON LAND OWNED, LEASED OR OPERATED BY THE STATE,
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, A MUNICIPALITY, WASHINGTON SUBURBAN
SANITARY COMMISSION, MARYLAND NATIONAL CAPITAL PARK AND
PLANNING COMMISSION, MONTGOMERY COUNTY REVENUE AUTHORITY
OR WASHINGTON METROPOLITAN AREA TRANSIT AUTHORITY.

(B) ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE PROHIBITIONS OF THIS
SECTION SHALL BE DEEMED GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR; AND UPON
CONVICTION THEREOF, SHALL BE SUBJECT TO A FINE OF NOT
MORE THAN $100.00.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning

Montgomery County — Court House Beautification

MC 4-76

FOR the purpose of altering the fee imposed by the
Montgomery County Clerk of Court for performing
marriage ceremonies; specifying that the increase in
fees be used for the enhancement and beautification
of the County Court House; and repealing the current
provisions of the law generally relating to those
marriage fees and re—writing them without
substantive change so as to enhance the clarity and
structure of the law.
