AMOUNT OF FUNDS AWARDED SHALL BE FILED WITH THE
DEPARTMENT OF STATE PLANNING WITHIN 30 DAYS OF RECEIPT.
IF AS A CONDITION TO RECEIVING THE AWARD, MATCHING FUNDS
ARE REQUIRED, THE NOTIFICATION WILL INDICATE THE AMOUNTS
AND SOURCES OF FUNDS NEEDED FOR MATCHING PURPOSES AND THE
LENGTH OF TIME SUCH MATCHING FUNDS SHALL BE REQUIRED.
(C) A SUMMARY NOTIFICATION OF FUNDS AWARDED AS
RESEARCH OR INSTRUCTIONAL CONTRACTS OR GRANTS SHALL BE
FILED WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE PLANNING ON A
SEMI-ANNUAL BASIS.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning
Subsidized Adoption Act
FOR the purpose of establishing a program to authorize
public subsidies making it possible for children in
special circumstances to be adopted; placing
administration in the [[Social Services
Administration]] local department of Social Services
and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene ;
defining eligibility; requiring a subsidy agreement;
establishing certain rules for the granting of the
subsidy; providing for the transfer of certain funds
between departments; and providing for appeals and
the promulgation of regulations.
BY adding to
Article 16 — Chancery
Section 88A through 88H, inclusive, to be under the
new subtitle "Subsidized Adoption Act"

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Sections 88A through 88H, inclusive,
to be under the new subtitle "Subsidized Adoption Act" be
and they are hereby added to Article 16 - Chancery, of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973 Replacement Volume
and 1975 Supplement) to read as follows:
