SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section
204C(c) of Article 41 - Governor—Executive and
Administrative Departments, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be
and it is hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

Article 41 — Governor-Executive and
Administrative Departments

204C.

(c) The Secretary of Public Safety and

Correctional Services may in his discretion exercise or

perform any power, duty, responsibility or function which

any of the divisions,__boards, commissions, offices or

other agencies within the jurisdiction of the Department
of Public Safety and Correctional Services are authorized
to exercise or perform, except for those powers, duties,

responsibilities and functions set forth in § 4,

subsections (d), (e), (f) and (g) of Article 26A of this

Code, §§ 4, 7, 12 and 13 of Article 31B of this Code, §§

7(a) and 14(a) of Article 38A of this Code, and [§§ 110,

112(a), 117] §§ 110(A) and (C), 113(B), 116 and 188A of

Article 41 of this Code.

SECTION [[5]] 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That
all employees of the Maryland Board of Parole shall be
transferred to and become employees of the Maryland
Parole Commission, without any diminution in salary or
benefits; all property, funds, assets, liabilities,
contracts, documents, and records of the Board shall be
transferred to and become the property, funds, assets,
liabilities, contracts, documents, and records of the
Maryland Parole Commission; all rules, regulations,
orders, and directives of the Board shall remain in
effect until changed by the Maryland Parole Commission in
accordance with law; and all references in the Annotated
Code of Maryland and any other law, ordinance, bylaw,
rule, regulation, order, directive, or document to the
Board of Parole shall be deemed to refer to the Maryland
Parole Commission.

SECTION [[6]] 7. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That
this Act shall take effect July 1, 1976.
