AN ACT concerning
Carroll County - Alcoholic Beverages
FOR the purpose of removing in Carroll County the
restriction from certain sales of alcoholic
beverages on Sundays at bars or counters; altering
the hours for certain sales of alcoholic beverages
on Sunday Carroll County; and clarifying
language.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 95A(1) of Article 2B - Alcoholic
Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968
Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages
95A.
In Carroll County, notwithstanding any other
provisions in this article, the following restrictions,
limitations, and regulations shall be in effect.
(1) Holders of "on—sale" licenses authorized under
this article may sell, offer for sale, or dispense
alcoholic beverages during the hours of 8:00 a.m. and
1:00 a.m. and no other hours. Holders of [such] THESE
licenses [shall] MAY not sell, offer to sell or dispense
any alcoholic beverages on Sunday, except that when the
holder of [such a] THAT license [shall have been] IS open
for business on Saturday at midnight he may remain open
until 1:00 a.m. the Sunday immediately following and
except that holders of Class B and C beer, wine and
liquor licenses may reopen and may sell alcoholic
beverages on Sundays between the hours of [1:00 p.m.]]
12:00 P.M. (NOON) and 1:00 a.m. the following Monday [but
no sales upon such reopening on Sunday shall be made at
