Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings
3-602.
(a) A court of equity has jurisdiction over the
custody, guardianship, legitimation, maintenance,
visitation and support of a child. In exercising its
jurisdiction, the court may:
(2) Determine the legitimacy of a child,
pursuant to [§ 1-208 of Article 93] § 1-208 OF THE
ESTATES AND TRUSTS ARTICLE of this Code.

(b) A judgment rendered under this section may not
exceed
(2) As to property damaged, the lesser of
the amount of damage or [$1,000] $1,000.
(e) The court may order the child who, wilfully or
maliciously, steals, damages, or destroys the property of
another or inflicts personal injury on another to make
the restitution expenses himself if that is feasible
considering the age and circumstances of the child; and
[it] IF this is ordered, the liability of the child
precedes the liability of the parent. The court may, in
the alternative, enter a judgment or restitution against
the child.
3-810.
(i) If the complaint does not allege the
commission of a delinquent act, the complainant may,
within 15 days of the denial, submit the complaint for
review by the regional supervisor of the intake officer.
The supervisor shall promptly review the complaint. If,
within 15 days, he concludes that the court has
jurisdiction and that judicial action is IN the best
interests of the public and the child, he may authorize
the filing of a petition in writing.
3-825.
(a) Except as provided in subsections (b) and
[(d)] (C), an order vesting legal custody in an
individual, agency, or institution is effective for an
indeterminate period of time.
4-301.
Except as provided in § 4—302, the District Court
has exclusive original jurisdiction in a criminal case in
which a person at least 16 years old or a corporation is
