AN ACT concerning

Oil Terminal Facility Licenses

FOR the purpose of requiring facilities receiving and
distributing oil by pipeline to obtain oil terminal
facility licenses.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 8-1411(a)(4)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 8-1411 (a)(4) of Article - Natural
Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume
and 1975 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article — Natural Resources

8-1411.

(a) In this section the following words and
phrases have the meaning indicated.

(4) "Oil terminal facility" means a facility of
any kind and related appurtenances receiving,
transferring, or discharging oil, petroleum products, and
their by—products to or from any commercial vessel, tank
truck, tank car, PIPELINE, or any other [vehicle] MEANS
used for transporting these products in the state and
having a total storage capacity in excess of 3,000
barrels.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.
