CHAPTER 422

(House Bill 724)

AN ACT concerning

Industrialized Buildings and Mobile Homes

FOR the purpose of specifying the authority of the
Department of Economic and Community Development
with respect to enforcement of standards,

inspection, and certification of industrialized
buildings and mobile homes and their installation;
defining certain terms; and generally modifying the
provisions relating to industrialized buildings and
mobile homes to conform to current federal
standards.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 41 — Governor — Executive and Administrative

Departments
Section 266EE-1, 266EE-2, 266EE-3(a) and (c), and

266EE-4
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

BY adding to

Article 41 — Governor — Executive and Administrative

Departments
Section 266EE-7 and 266EE-8
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 266EE-1, 266EE-2, 266EE-3(a) and
(c), and 266EE—4 of Article 41 — Governor — Executive and
Administrative Departments, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be
and they are hereby repealed and reenacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

It is found and declared that with the acceleration
in development of new materials, processes and assemblies
of building components, manufactured buildings, and
