serve a notice in writing on the person, firm or
corporation, by whose act, default or sufferance the
nuisance arises or continues; or if [such] THE person,
firm or corporation cannot be found, [or] OK the owner or
occupier of the premises on which the nuisance arises or
exists, requiring him or them to abate the same within a
time to be specified in the notice, and to execute [such]
ANY works and do [such] ANY things as may be necessary
for that purpose, provided that nothing in this act shall
apply to the water in which mosquitoes or mosquito larvae
breed in [Prince George's,] Baltimore, Dorchester,
Charles, Calvert, [Carolina] CAROLINE, Harford counties
and Anne Arundel County except the first precinct of the
third election district.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning
Election Code — Campaign Literature
FOR the purpose of permitting the distribution of
campaign literature concerning a write—in candidate;
requiring the ([authority line on such]] literature
or any other political matter to contain the name of
the candidate or committee, if any; requiring
certain persons who publish or distribute certain
material to maintain a file of such material for a
certain period of time after an election; and making
style changes.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 33 - Election Code
Section 26-16(a)(7), 26-17(a), and 26-17.1(a), (b),
and (c)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 26-16(a)(7), 26-17(a), and
26-17.1 (a), (b) , and (c) of Article 33 — Election Code,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement
Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and they are hereby
repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
