LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 384

STATE FOR A PERIOD OF SEVEN YEARS. IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO
APPLYING, AND IF APPLICATION IS MADE BY OCTOBER 1, 1976,
AND THE APPLICANT FURNISHES VERIFICATION FROM AUTHORIZED
INSPECTION AGENCY OR BUREAU THAT HE HAS NO CURRENT
RECORD OF WIRING VIOLATIONS, AND PROVIDED ALL OTHER
REQUIREMENTS SET FORTH IN THIS ACT ARE MET.

(D)    ALL APPLICANTS FOR A RECIPROCAL LICENSE UNDER
RECIPROCITY SYSTEM SHALL BE SUBJECT TO PAYMENT OF
PRESCRIBED FEES AND FURNISHING OF REQUIRED BOND, IF ANY,
TO THE INDIVIDUAL ELECTRICAL BOARD ISSUING A RECIPROCAL
LICENSE OR UPON THE RENEWAL OF SAME.

(E)    THE SYSTEM OF RECIPROCITY FOR ISSUING OF
ELECTRICAL LICENSES IN THIS SUBTITLE APPLIES TO ALL
PRESENT AND FUTURE ELECTRICAL BOARDS IN ALL JURISDICTIONS
WITHIN THIS STATE AS OF JULY 1, 1976.

(F)    A LICENSEE MAY ASSIGN HIS LICENSE TO A PERSON,
FIRM OR CORPORATION BY WHOM HE IS PRINCIPALLY EMPLOYED,
BUT A LICENSE MAY ONLY BE REASSIGNED ONCE IN A FISCAL
YEAR. THE AUTHORITY GRANTED BY A LICENSE TO THE LICENSEE
MAY NOT BE TRANSFERABLE TO ANOTHER PERSON.

(G)    ALL LAWS OF LOCAL SUBDIVISIONS WHICH ARE IN
CONFLICT WITH THIS SUBTITLE ARE REPEALED UPON THE
EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ACT.

322.

EACH APPLICANT FOR A RECIPROCAL ELECTRICAL LICENSE
OR RENEWAL OF IT SHALL COMPLY WITH ALL REQUIREMENTS[[,
INCLUDING FURNISHING OF A BOND, IF REQUIRED,]] OF EACH
ELECTRICAL BOARD TO WHICH HE APPLIES THROUGHOUT THIS
STATE. [[THE APPLICANT, IN LIEU OF FURNISHING, AS
REQUIRED, AN INDIVIDUAL BOND FOR THOSE BOARDS TO WHICH HE
APPLIES, MAY FURNISH A SURETY BOND IN FAVOR OF THIS STATE
IN THE SUM OF $5,000, WHICH IS TO BE REGULATED BY THE
STATE DEPARTMENT OF LICENSES AND REGULATIONS. A SINGLE
BOND FURNISHED IN THIS MANNER, UPON PROOF OF BOND,
RELIEVES THE LICENSEE FROM FURNISHING A SEPARATE BOND TO
ANY POLITICAL SUBDIVISION TO WHICH HE APPLIES AND WHICH
REQUIRES A BOND UNDER ITS LOCAL ELECTRICAL REGULATIONS.]]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if any
provision of this Act or the application thereof to any
person or circumstance is held invalid for any reason,
the invalidity shall not affect the other provisions or
any other application of this Act which can be given
effect without the invalid provisions or application, and
to this end all the provisions of this Act are declared
to be severable.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.
