AMENDMENTS TO SENATE BILL NO. 2

Offered from the floor by Senator Mason:

Amendment No. 1 —

In the line following line 46 on page 1 of the
printed bill after the word "amounts;" insert the words
"providing for the maintenance of a certain level of
effort for police expenditures by the subdivisions;".

Amendment No. 2 —

In line 137 on page 3 of the printed bill after the
word "capita" strike out the "period" and insert the
following: "PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT THE AGGREGATE
EXPENDITURES FOR A SUBDIVISION FOR POLICE PROTECTION FROM
LOCAL SOURCES SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN THE AGGREGATE
EXPENDITURE FOR POLICE PROTECTION FROM LOCAL SOURCES FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1975.".
