In the unnumbered line following line 46 on page 1
of the printed bill, strike beginning with the word
"changing" down to and including the word "grant" in line
49 and insert in lieu thereof the following: "providing a
per capita grant and allowing State aid for police
protection to be used for certain purposes".

Amendment No. 2 —

In line 72 on page 2 of the printed bill, strike
"37(b) and (c)" and insert in lieu thereof "36".

Amendment No. 3 —

Following line 75 on page 2 of the printed bill,
insert the following:

"BY adding,

Article 15A. Budget and Fiscal Planning

Section 37(b)(4)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1968 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)".

Amendment No. 4 —

In line 113 on page 2 of the printed bill, strike

The State Aid for Police Protection Fund is a

continuing grant, intended for and to be used

[exclusively] to provide adequate police protection OTHER
PUBLIC SAFETY PROGRAMS, AND OTHER GOVERNMENTAL SERVICES
in the subdivisions of this State, by State and
subdivision sharing of costs on an equitable basis within
certain limits related to population factors. Provided,
however, that nothing herein shall be construed as
requiring a subdivision or qualifying municipality to
appropriate or to expend more for police protection OTHER
