The Court being Sett Ordered That ye Electors be Called to Heare ye above Menconed writt and Proclamacon being According Made by ye Cryer & A Large Appearance ye Said Writt is publiquely in Court Read by ye Sherf. which being performed ye Court giveth ye Ellectors Some caution & Advice and then ordrs them to proceed to theire Election Leiut. Coll. Thomas Smith & Capt. John Whittington are by ye Sd. Electors Chosen Nemine Contridcente and are brought in & prsented to ye Court to See theire Indentures Signed And ye Said Electors further proceed & Some voate for Coll. Jno Hynson & others for Mr. John Salter & ye Said Electors on both Sides desire A pole wch. being performed found that Coll. John Hynson Carried ye Same by Severall voates And ye Said Electors doe Yet further proceed & Some voate for Mr. Charles Hynson & others for Mr. John Salter & ye Said Electors on both Sides desired A pole which being performed found that Mr. Salter Carried it by Sevll. votes All which Said Delegates being brought into Court ye Sherf.
