Ordered by this Court that all writts Returnable to this Court doe Remaine in ye Sher. Custody and Returnable to Next Court The Court Adjournes untill ye Second Tuesday in Febry Next Att a Court held for Kent County ye 11. Day of Febry in ye Thirteenth Yeare of ye Reigne of William the third King &a. before his Majties Justices thereunto Authorized and Appointed Annoq Domi. 1700
Thomas Allin Servant to Mr. James Heath and coming into ye Country without Indentures was brought to Court to have his age Adjudged The Court upon Vew of ye Said Servant adjudge[d] him to be fifteen yeares of age & Ordered to Serve his Said Mr. According to Act of Assembly in that Case made & provided Jno Dowdall Clk Henry Hosier having Made A Motion to this Court that A Servant Woman belonging to ye Said Henry is brought to bed of A Mollotoe Child & desires that ye Court would be pleased to Order him that ye Said Child might be taken away from ^ & taken Care off Else where The Court desires of ye Said Henry Hosier that he would be pleased to let ye Mother of ye child keep it for A Yeare & that he Shall have Satisfaction for ye Same After Some discourse wth ye Said Henry about ye prmisses ye Court doe agree to & with ye Said Henry to pay him One Thousand pounds of Tobo. for Keeping ye Said Mollotto Child Twelve Months from this prSent It is Ordered by this Court that ye Said Henry Hosier have Allowed him out of ye next yeares Leavyes ye Sume of one Thousand pounds of Tobo. for keeping one Mollotto Child of Margarett Bishop ye Space of one whole yeare from these prSence Jno Dowdall Clk Thomas Ward of Kent County (one of ye Evidences to A bill passed by James Costley formerly of Talbott County) deposeth upon ye holly Evangelists that he See ye Said James Costl[ey sign s]eale & deliver ye Said bill for four thousand pounds of Tobo. to Thomas Bruff of Talbott County [ Jno] Dowdall Clk Mary Kenaday Servant to Thomas Joce deposes upon ye holly Evangelists [that John O?N]eale an other of ye Said Joce?s Servants is ye father of her base borne Child Ordered Therefore by this Court that ye Said Mary Kenaday and John O?Neale each of them doe Serve ye ye Said Thomas Joce theire Mr. halfe a yeare each of them for ye Trouble that ye Said Thomas was put to about ye Said Woman in her labour & his loss of Service Jno Dowdall Clk John Bennett being bound by recognizance taken before Jno Whittington one of ye Justices of this Cour[t] to make his personll. Appearance at this Court & good behaviour in ye meanetime now Appeares but ye Clk of ye Indictments moves the Court that ye Said Jno Enter into new recognizance for his Appearance att ye |
