Joshua one horse at ye rate & price of one Thousand four hundred pounds of Tobo in Consideracon
whereof ye Said Joshua upon himselfe assumed & unto ye Said Sarah when Sole faithfully promised
that he ye said Joshua ye Said Sume of one Thousand four hundred pounds of Tobo. when thereunto
affterwards required would well & truly pay yet nevertheless ye Said Joshua ye Said Sume of 1400lb
of Tobo. altho offten required unto ye Said Sarah when Sole nor to ye Said Thomas & Sarah Since theire
Intermariage According to his promise & Assumption hath not paid but ye Same to pay he hath denyed
& refused & as yet ye Same to pay ye Said Joshua doth deny & refuse to ye Damage of ye Said plaintfs
Two thousand eight hundred pounds of Tobo. & Thereupon they bring this Suite       Jno Doe
                                                                            Macklin pr qr pleadges &a.       Richd. Roe
The which Decln. being read & by ye Court heard & fully understood The Said Defendt. comes into
Court & confesseth Judgemt. for ye Said Sume of fourteen hundred pounds of Tobo. & Cost of Suite

Therefore it is Considered by ye Court here vizt. ye 28. day of Novemr. Annoq Domi. 1701 that ye
Said Plaintfs. Thomas Godwin & Sarah his wife doe recover from ye Said Defendt. Joshua
Sweatnam as well ye Sume of one Thousand four hundred pounds of Tobo. Debt as alsoe ye Sume of
                                                   pounds of Tobo. cost of Suite & the Said Joshua Sweatnam

ast.    Annoq Domi. 1700 alsoe ye 28. day of March Annoq Domi. 1701 that
Allen Robinett    That he Take Allen Robinett of Kent County if found in his
bailiwick & him Safe Keepe Soe that he have his body before his Majties Justices at ye next Court to
be held for Said County ye next Courts to be held for Said County to answer unto Danll. Ivie &
Henry Arthur of A plea that he render them ye Sume of Two thousand one hundred forty & Three pounds
of Tobo. which &a.
Att which first next Court vizt. ye 25 day of March Annoq Domi. 1701 ye Day of ye returne of
Said first writt came Elias King high Sherf. of Said County & made returne Non east pr EK. Sherf
Likewise came ye Said Sherf. ye 24. day of June Annoq Domi. 1701 ye day of ye returne of Said
Second writt & made returne thereof in these words following vizt. cepi    pr    Elias King Sherf.
Att which Said Day ye Said Plaintiffs by Richard Macklin theire Attry moves ye Court that ye
Said Defendt. Allen Robinett may continue in ye Sherf. Custody untill he find Espll. baile to Said
Action which was granted ~~~~~    And Thereupon Ordered that Elias King high Sherf.
of this County doe keepe in Safe Custody untill he find Espll. baile to Said Action    Jno Dowdall Clk
And ye Said Defendt. comes into Court Togeather wth. Robert Smith of Talbott County Esqr. and
promiseth that ye Sd. Defendt. Allen Robinett Shall pay Condemnacon if Cast or else he will
doe it for him
On which Said day ye Said Defendt. by Michael Earle his Attry appeares & prayes thereof to Imparle
untill the next Court which was granted him the Same day was given the plaintfs. alsoe Macklin pr qr.
