99) Maryland sc.t Know all men by these presents that we Christian Taylor John Lynch and Stephen Lynch of Saint Mary's County are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and Just Sum of Eighty pounds Gold Currency to be paid to the said State of Maryland To the which payment well and truly to be made and Done We Bind ourselves and each of us our & each of our Heirs and Administrators Jointly and Severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals & Dated this twenty fourth day of September Anno Domini One thousand Seven hundred and Eighty one The Condition of the above obligation is Such that if the above Bound Christian Taylor do and shall well and truly pay or Cause to be paid unto the Treasurer of the Western Shore for the time being the Just and full Sum of ten Shillings and three pence per Acre for all the Land which upon shall be Contained upon an Accurate Survey in Lot N.o 9 on the Plat of West S.t Marys Manor In Gold and Silver Rating Milled Dollars at Seven Shillings and Six pence and other Gold and Silver at the rates mentioned in an Act entitled an Act for the emission of Bills of Credit &c passed May session 1781 or in Bills of Credit of the emission of the tenth of May 1781 to the Actual Value thereof in the proportions and on the days following to wit One third part thereof as aforesaid on or before the first day of September 1782 with Legal Interest thereon One third part thereof as aforesaid on or before the first day of September 1783 with Legal Interest thereon and the other third part thereof as aforesaid on or before the first day of September 1784 with Legal Interest thereon then the above Obligation To be Void else to Remain in full force and Virtue in Law her Signed Sealed & Delivered G Duvall Christian U Taylor (seal) In the presence of mark his John + Lynch (seal) mark Stephen Lynch (seal) Maryland sc.t Know all men by these presents that we Vernon Hebb William Summerville and Hugh Hopewell of Saint Mary's County are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and Just Sum of Six hundred pounds Gold Currency to be paid to the said State of Maryland To the which payment well and truly to be made and Done We bind ourselves and each of us our & each of our Heirs Executors and Administrators Jointly and Severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our seals and Dated this twenty fourth day of September Anno Domini One thousand Seven hundred and Eighty one The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above Bound Vernon Hebb do and Shall well and truly pay or Cause to be paid unto the Treasurer of the Western Shore for the time being the Just and full Sum of Seventeen Shillings per Acre for all the Land which shall be Contained upon an Accurate Survey in Lots N.o 5 and 6 with the Variations forty five shillings per acre for the Contents of N.o 13 and Seventeen Shillings and a penny per Acre for the Contents of N.o 14 on the plat of West S.t Marys Manor In Gold and Silver Rating Milled Dollars at Seven Shillings and Six pence and other Gold and Silver at the rates mentioned in an Act entitled an Act for the emission of Bills of Credit &c passed May Session 1781 or in Bills of Credit of the emission of the tenth of May 1781 to the Actual Value thereof in the proportions and on the days following to wit One third part thereof as aforesaid on or before the first day of September 1782 with Legal Interest thereon One third part thereof as aforesaid on or before the first day of September 1783 with Legal Interest thereon and the other third part thereof as aforesaid on or before the first day of September 1784 with Legal Interest thereon Then the above Obligation to be Void else to Remain in full force and Virtue in Law Signed Sealed & Delivered Zach.a Forrest Vernon Hebb (seal) In the presence of W.m Somerville (seal) Hugh Hopewell (seal) |
