94) Maryland sc.t Know all men by these presents that we Henry Abell Samuel Abell sen.r and Ignatius Abell of Saint Mary's County are held and firmly Bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and Just Sum of Three hundred pounds Gold Currency to be paid to the said State of Maryland to the which payment well and truly to be made and Done We bind ourselves and each of us Our and each of our Heirs Executors and Administrators Jointly and Severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our seals and Dated this fifteenth day of September Anno Domini One thousand Seven hundred and Eighty one The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above Bound Henry Abell do and Shall well and truly pay or Cause to be paid unto the Treasurer of the Western Shore for the time being the Just and full Sum of Eighteen Shillings and Six pence per Acre for all the Land which upon an Accurate Survey shall be Contained in the Lot N.o 66 on the plat of Beaverdam Manor made in the year 1768 by Jonathan Abell in Gold & Silver Rating Milled Dollars at Seven Shillings and Six pence and other Gold and Silver at the Rates Mentioned in an Act entitled an Act for the emission of Bills of Credit &c passed May session 1781 or in Bills of Credit of the emission of the tenth of May 1781 to the Actual Value thereof in the proportions and on the days following to wit One third part thereof as aforesaid on or before the first day of September 1782 with Legal Interest thereon One third part thereof as aforesaid on or before the first day of September 1783 with Legal Interest thereon ^and the other third part thereof as aforesaid on or before the first day of September 1784 with Legal Interest thereon^ Then the above Obligation to be Void else to Remain in full force and Virtue in Law Henry Abell (seal) Signed Sealed & Delivered Benj.a Morgan Samuel Abell sen.r (seal) In the presence of Igna.s Abell (seal) Maryland sc.t Know all men by these presents that we Edward Barton Smith Elinor Dant and Mary Smith of Saint Mary's County are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and Just Sum of Six hundred pounds Gold Currency to be paid to the said State of Maryland To the which payment well and truly to be made and Done We bind ourselves and each of us Our & and each of our Heirs Executors and Administrators Jointly and Severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our seals and Dated this fifteenth day of September Anno Domini One thousand Seven hundred and Eighty one The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above Bound Edward Barton Smith Do and Shall well and truly pay or Cause to be paid unto the Treasurer of the Western Shore for the time being the Just and full Sum of fifteen Shillings per Acre for all the Land which upon an Accurate Survey shall be Contained in the Lot marked N.o 71 on the plat of Beaverdam Manor made by Jonathan Abell in the year 1768 in Gold and Silver Rating Milled Dollars at Seven Shillings and Six pence and other Gold and Silver at the rates mentioned in an Act entitled an Act for the emission of Bills of Credit &c passed May Session 1781 or in Bills of Credit of the emission of the tenth of May 1781 to the Actual Value thereof in the proportions and on the days following to wit One third part thereof as aforesaid on or before the first day of September 1782 with Legal Interest thereon One third part thereof as aforesaid on or before the first day of September 1783 with Legal Interest thereon and the other third part thereof as aforesaid on or before the first day of September 1784 with Legal Interest thereon Then the above Obligation to be Void else to Remain in full force and Virtue in Law Edw.d Barton Smith (seal) Signed Sealed & Delivered Zach.a Forrest Eline her Dant (seal) In the presence of mark Mary her Smith (seal) mark |
