469) Perches to a bounded Cedar Post thence with a Streight Line to the Beginning containing and now laid out for Thirty one acres and a half More or Less Together with all and singular the Improvements advantages Hereditaments and appurtenances unto the said Tract of Land belonging or in any wise appurtaining And the reversion and reversions Remainder & Remainders Rents Issues & Profits thereof and of every part and parcel thereof and all the Estate Right Title Interest Property claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said Matthew Birkhead of in and to the said Tract of Land and premisses with the appurtenances and every part and parcel thereof To have and To hold the aforesaid Tract of Land and premisses with the appurtenances unto him the said Richard Chew his Heirs and Assigns for ever and the said Matthew Birkhead for himself and his heirs the Tract of Land aforesaid with the appurtenances and every part thereof against him and his heirs and against all and every other person and persons Whatsoever to the said Richard Chew his heirs and Assigns shall and will Warrant and forever Defend by these presents In Witness whereof the said Matthew Birkhead hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal the day and Year first above Written Signed Sealed and Delivered in presence of Matthew Birckhead (seal) The word "one" being first interlined Sam Harrison Richard Harrison On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed (Viz.t) Received on the day and year first within written of & from the within named Richard Chew the consideration within Mentioned being the Quantity of Two thousand Six hundred pounds Test Sam.l Harrison Matthew Birckhead Richard Harrison Maryland Sc.t Anne Arundel County to wit On the 27.th day of October 1785 came the within named Matthew Birkhead before us the Subscribers two of the Justices of Anne Arundel County and Acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be his Act & Deed and the Land & Premises therein mentioned to be the Right Title and Estate of the within named Richard Chew his heirs and assigns for ever according to the true intent and meaning thereof At the same time came Elizabeth Wife of the aforesaid Matthew Birkhead before us and being by us privately examined out of the Hearing of her Husband did relinquish her Dower and right of Dower of in and to the said Lands & acknowledged that she did the same willingly and freely without being induced thereto by fear or threats of Ill usage by her said Husband or fear of his Displeasure Sam.l Harrison 4¼ sides Richard Harrison Recorded December the 24.th 1785 |
