430) or in any wise appertaining unto us the said constituents whether by Bond Note Bill Book debt account consignment contract agreement Degree sentence Judgment Execution Extent or for by or upon any other account way reason or means soever nothing in Law or Equity excepted or reserved And to that end with all and every or any person or persons whom it shall or may concern to account and to view state settle and adjust all accounts and the ballance thereof to receive And upon recovery and receipts to give one or more acquittances or other sufficient discharges in due form of Law but in case of refusal or delay by all and every or any person or persons concerned to make and render just and true account payment delivery and satisfaction in the premises them any or either of them thereunto to compell by all lawful ways and means whatsoever Also (if need be) to appear before all or any Lords Judges and Justices in any Court or Courts thereto and ever defend and reply in all matters and cases touching and ^or^ concerning ^the^ to premises to do say p^u^rsue implead seize sequester attach arrest Imprison and to condemn and out of Prison to deliver also to compound conclude and agree by arbitration or other wise as our said Attorney shall think fit and generally in and concerning the premises to do perform and execute all and whatsoever shall be requisite and necessary as fully amply and effectually to all intents constructions and purposes as we the said constituents might or could do if personally present With power to substitute one or more Attorneys under him with like or limited power and the same again to revoke we the said Thomas Eden and Christopher Court hereby ratifying confirming and holding for good and valid all and whatsoever the said Joseph Court or his Substitute or Substitutes shall lawfully do or cause to be done in or about the premises by virtue of these presents In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seales the Eleventh day of November in the year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King defender of the Faith and so forth Sealed and Delivered (being first duly Stamped) Tho.s Eden (seal) in the presence of Sam.l Maynard Matt.w Hayden Chris.r Court (seal) On the back of the aforegoing Instrument of writing was thus endorsed Viz.t Maryland On the 17.th day of October 1785 Samuel Maynard first subscribing witness to this power of Attorney appeared before the Subscriber one of the Judges of the General Court and made oath that he saw Thomas Eden and Christopher Court sign seal and deliver the same as their Act and Deed likewise that he saw the other other subscribing witness Matthew Hayden sign the same as witness thereto A C Hanson 6½ sides Recorded October the 17.th 1785 |
