364 Office and also shall render to said State and its Officers a true faithful and perfect account of all and singular the said State's Rights and dues and to its officers a true and just Account of their Fees that he shall or may be entrusted with by the Governor or other his Officers within this State to receive and collect and his Account to said state and its Governor here for the time being for the Fines and Forfeitures and other dues belonging to said State and its Governor as also his Account of all fees dues and Sums of Money or Tobacco due to any of the good People within this State for any Sum or Sums of Money or Tobacco wherewith the said Sheriff shall be intrusted during the term of his Shrivalty for the present year or to such of them as shall require the same shall pass and render by the thirtieth day of June next ensuing the date hereof and in all other things as Sheriff of the County of Frederick shall behave himself well and honestly towards all Persons according to the best of his power skill and knowledge Then this Obligation to be void and of no Effect or else to stand in full force strength and Virtue Signed Sealed and Delivered in presence of the Ad.m Fischer (Seal) Penalty of the Bonds being first Benjamin Musgrove (Seal) altered to five hundred thousand Nicholas Tice (Seal) weight of Tobacco G.s Burckhartt J.r (Seal) W.m Beatty Jacob Young James Johnson W.m Luckett Recorded this 22.nd day of April 1785 Know all Men by these presents That We John Bell Richard Cramphin Samuel Shekles Leonard Marbury Deakins of Prince Georges County are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and just Sum of Twelve thousand seven hundred and eighty Pounds Current Money to be paid to the said State To the which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves our Heirs Executors and Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals and dated this twenty fourth day of March Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred and eighty five The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound John Bell shall well and faithfully execute and perform the several duties required of him as Collector of the Tax for Prince Georges County according to Law Then the above Obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virtue in Law Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presence of John Beale (Seal) Nath.l Magruder R.d Cramphin (Seal) J Contee Sam.l Shekell (Seal) Clement Hill M Deakins (Seal) Recorded this 23.rd day of April 1785 |
