291 appointed Inspector & all other Tobacco he shall be called upon to View and Inspect and that he will not receive any Tobacco that is not in his Judgment sound well conditioned Merchantable and Clear of Trash nor receive pass or Stamp any Tobacco or Hogshead of Tobacco prohibited by an Act of Assembly entitled an Act for the Regulation of the Staple of Tobacco and that he will receive pass and stamp all Tobacco that is sound well conditioned Merchantable & clear of Trash & in all things well and faithfully discharge his Duty in the office of an Inspector according to the best of his Skill and Judgment and according to the Directions of the said Act without fear favour affection Malice or Partiality and that he will in all things well & faithfully execute & perform the several duties required of him by this Act Then the above obligation to be Void otherwise to remain ^& to be^ in full force and virtue in Law Signed Sealed and Delivered Sam.l Shekell (seal) in the Presence of Cophas Shekell (seal) Tho.s Thomas Osb Sprigg (seal) his Nich.s X Fan Ju.r 3.d November 1784 Mark I hereby Certify that Thomas Thomas and Nich.s Fan Junior the two Subscribing Witnesses to the within Bond made oath on Holy Evangels of Almighty God that they were present and did see the within named Samuel Sheckells Sephus Sheckells and Osb Sprigg sign seal and deliver the same for the uses therein mentioned John Contee Recorded the 21.st Dec.r 1784 Know all men by these Presents that we Abraham Boyd John Beall & Jeremiah Movie of Prince Georges County Gentlemen are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and Just Quantity of Forty thousand pounds of Tobacco to be paid unto the said State to the which Payment well and truly to be made and done We bind our heirs Executors and Administrators in the whole and for the whole Jointly and Severally firmly by these Presents Sealed with our Seals & dated this 27.th day of November in the year Seventeen hundred & Eighty four The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Abraham Boyd will diligently and carefully View and Examine all Tobacco brought to any Public Warehouse or Warehouses Where he is appointed Inspector & all other other Tobacco he shall be called upon to View and Inspect And that he will not receive any Tobacco that is not in his Judgment sound well conditioned merchantable and clear of Trash nor Receive pass or Stamp any Tobacco or Hogshead of Tobacco prohibited by an act of assembly entitled an Act for the Regulation of the Staple of Tobacco and that he will receive pass and Stamp |
