244 Bonds Obligations Notes of Hand Protested Bills Contracts for Tobacco Judgment Open accounts or Claims aforesaid or revoke alter or Disannul any Part of these Presents or the Authority or Powers hereby given and the said Thomas Dorsey doth hereby Covenant and agree that he will use all Posible Expedition to have the whole of the said John Dorseys Debts as aforesaid Liquidated and Assertained and that he will Keep a fair account of all sales of the Property he shall Dispose of and of all the Money he shall receive by Virtue of these Presents and that he will when called upon by the said John Dorsey or any of his Creditors Shew the Amount of the Debts when so Liquidated and the account of sales and Moneys so receive as aforesaid and whereas during the Partnership aforesaid between the said Samuel Chase John Dorsey and Thomas Dorsey the said John Dorsey was Acting Partner and the Books and Accounts of the said Partnership were Kept in the name only of the said John Dorsey who now has the Possession of the same the said John Dorsey doth hereby Covenant and agree to Deliver up the said Books to the said Thomas Dorsey and all the Papers and Vouchers of the said Partnership and to Authenticate the same as the said Partnership Books Papers and Vouchers In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto set their hands and Seals the day and Year above Written Signed Sealed & Delivered in Presents off John Dorsey (Seal) A C Hanson Thomas Dorsey (Seal) On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed (Viz.t) Maryland October 4 1784 Then came before me the subscriber of the Judges of the General Court the within Mentioned John Dorsey and Acknowledged this Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the within Mentioned Lands and Other Property Goods and Chattels rights and Credits to be the right and Estate of the said Thomas Dorsey and his Heirs Executors and Administrators for the Uses Intents and Purposes therein Mentioned A C Hanson Then Received of Thomas Dorsey the within Consideration Money of five Shillings Current Money Witness Jn.o Dorsey A C Hanson To the aforegoing Deed was annexed the following Schedule to wit A Schedule of Lands Mortgages Bonds Nots of Hand Protested Bills Contracts for Tobacco Judgement accounts and Claims in the above Indenture refered to and to which this Schedule is annexed Land in Company with Samuel Chase and Jacob Miers in the State of Virginia Supposed to be eight thousand Four hundred Acres Land in Company with Thomas Dorsey and Samuel Chase Esquire in the State of Virginia Supposed to be ten Thousand Acres All the Lands Located in the name of John Dorsey in the State of Virginia Supposed to be ten Thousan Acres All the Lotts of Land in that Part of Baltimore Town called French Town bought from the Commissioners for the Sale of Confiscated Property in the Joint Account of Samuel Chase Thomas Dorsey & John Dorsey All title to 18¾ Acres of Land Bought from Jesse Hollingsworth being Part of Timber Neck Originally Leased by him from Charles Ridgely son Jn.o |
