446 all and every the appurtenances unto them the said Hudson from and against him the said Levin Ballard and his Heirs and against all and every other person and persons whatsoever Claiming or to Claim the same or any part thereof shall and will warrant and for ever Defend by these presents And the said Levin Ballard doth also Covenant to Compleat and finish the said ^Ship or^ Vessel Agreeable to a Contract entered into the seventh day of June last past In witness whereof the said Levin Ballard hath hereunto set his Hand and Affixed his seal this Twenth day of March One thousand seven hundred and seventy three the Words or hereafter to belong when fully Compleated between the Nineteenth and twenth line being first Interlined before the Execution of these presents Sealed & Delivered In the Presence of Levin Ballard (seal) Sam.l Wilson Isaiah Robinson On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Received the day of the date of the within written Bargain and sale of the within named Hudson and Lawson Twenty Shillings sterling being the full Consideration Money within mentioned Reced p.r Levin Ballard £1 0 0 Witness psent Sam.l Wilson Sommerset County fs.t On the Twenth day of March 1773 Before me the Subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace for said County Came Levin Ballard party to the within Instrument of Bargain & Sale and Acknowledged the same to be his Act and Deed according to the true Intent and meaning thereof And the Ship or Vessel therein mentioned to be bargained and sold with all and every ^the^ Appurtenances to be the Right Title Interest Estate and Property of the within Named Hudson and Lawson their Heirs and Assigns for ever Acknowledged Before 6 Sides Sam.l Wilson Recorded the 6.th of April 1773 x.d This Indenture made this first day of March Anno Domini Seventeen Hundred and Seventy three Between John Ross and Elizabeth his Wife of Baltimore County of the one part and William Lux and Daniel Bowly of Baltimore Town Merchants of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Ross and Elizabeth his wife for and in consideration of the Sum of Two Hundred Pounds Nineteen Shillings and one penny to him the said John Ross in hand Paid by the said William Lux and Daniel Bowly at or before the ensealing and delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof they the said John Ross and Elizabeth his wife do hereby acknowledge Have and each of them Hath and by these presents they the said John Ross and Elizabeth his wife do and each of them doth give grant bargain sell alien enfeoffe and confirm unto them the said William Lux and Daniel Bowly their Heirs and Assigns for ever All those two Tracts or parcels of Land called Bensons enlargement and Skinners Lot lying and being on Miles River and Broad Creek in Talbot County also a Tract or parcel of Land containing two acres and an half Acre purchased of Richard Gildart lying and being on Miles River in Talbot County aforesaid and also a Lot of Ground in Baltimore Town on the East side of Jones's Falls whereon is a dwelling House being part of the Lot distinguish'd on the Plat of the said Town by the Number one Hundred an Ninety One Together with all and Singular the Buildings and Improvements thereon and the premisses and appurtenances to the said two Tracts or parcels of Land and Lot of Land belonging or appurtaining and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof and of every part and parcel thereof And all the Estate Right Title Interest use Trust property claim and demand whatsoever of them the said John Ross and Elizabeth |
