389 Ex.d Maryland fs.t This Indenture made the third Day of October one thousand seven hundred and seventy two Between James Dick of Ann Arundel County in the Province aforesaid Merchant William Lyon of baltimore County Practitioner in Physic and William Lux of Baltimore County Merchant of the one part and Charles Grahame of Calvert County Merchant of the other Part Whereas the said James Dick William Lyon William Lux and Charles Graham are seized in Fee of and in one Tract or Parcel of land called John's Pleasant Meadow containing fifty Acres one other Tract called William's Delight containing twenty five Acres and also of and in ten thousand seven hundred and forty nine Acres Part of a Tract of land called Caledonia which Tract originally contained eleven thousand six hundred and thirty eight Acres of which eight hundred and eighty nine Acres hath been heretofore sold by the Parties to these presents all situate lying and being in Baltimore County aforesaid And Whereas the said Parties have agreed to divide the said Lands into Parts to be distributed and held by them each his Part thereof to him his Heirs and Assigns forever in Severalty and have in pursuance thereof actually divided the said Land into four Lots or Devisions each Lot or Division consisting of four Parts or Parcels of the said Land Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said James Dick William Lyon and William Lux for and towards the fulfilling and confirming the Premisses and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings Sterling to them by the said Charles Graham in Hand paid at or before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receit whereof is hereby acknowledged and the said Charles Graham thereof acquitted and discharged have and each of them hath granted confirmed remised and released and forever quit Claim and by these Presents do and each of them doth grant confirm remise and release and forever quit Claim unto the said Charles Graham his Heirs and Assigns all that the aforesaid Tract of Land called Johns Pleasant Meadow containing fifty Acres more or less Williams Delight containing twenty five Acres more or less a nd all those four Parts Pieces or Parcels of the said Land called Caladonia being the Lot or Division of the said Charles Graham Beginning for the first and Second Parts at the End of the South fifty five Degrees East thirty eight Perches Line of the whole Tract being the one hundred and thirtieth Line of the same Tract and running thence with the Outlines thereof South forty two Degrees West eighty four Perches North sixty eight Degrees West twenty Perches North seventeen Degrees West ninety six perches North West seventy two perches North thirty one Degrees East eighty Perches North fifty six Degrees East thirty six Perches North twenty Degrees thirty Minutes West twenty seven perches South fifty six Degrees West thirty perches North eighteen Degrees West eighty perches North twenty six Degrees East Sixty perches South eighty Degrees East forty perches South nine Degrees West ninety three perches South twenty Degrees thirty Minutes East forty two perches South fifty three Degrees East twenty four perches North [illegible] Degrees East seventy perches North fifty two Degrees East fifty two perches [illegible] eighty three Degrees East forty eight perches thence North five Degrees East fourteen (Perches) |
