       to hold the said Land within mentioned and every Part and Parcel thereof and Premises
       with the Appurtenances to the said William Chew his Heirs and Assigns to his &
       their only proper Use and Behoof  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my
       Hand aforesaid my Seal this Ninth Day of August seventeen hundred and seventy one

       On the ninth Day of August seventeen hundred and seventy one came the above named
       Elizabeth Lewin before us the Subscribers two Justices of the Peace for Ann Arundel County &
       acknowledged the above Release to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premises therein
       mentioned to be the only Right and Estate of the within named William Chew his Heirs
       and Assigns for ever according to the true Intent and Meaning of the Writing and the
       Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided                 Sam.l Chew s.r

       This Indenture Tripartite made the ninth Day of September in the
       Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy one Between Thomas
       Burgen of Baltimore County Planter Ferdinando Batty of Baltimore County Planter and Benjamin
       Baxter of Baltimore County Planter of the first Part, Thomas Shaw otherwise called Gash of Baltimore
       County ^Planter^ of the second Part and Thomas Johnson Jun.r ^of the City of Annapolis^ of the third Part  Witnesseth that the
       said Thomas Burgen Ferdinando Batty and Benjamin Baxter for and in Consideration of the Sum
       of two hundred and ten Po^u^nds Current Money to him the said Thomas Burgen in hand paid
       by the said Thomas Shaw otherwise called Gash at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these
       Presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom doth release
       acquit and discharge the aforesaid Thomas Shaw otherwise called Gash his Heirs Executors
       Administrators and Assigns and every of them the said Ferdinando Batty and Benjamin Baxter
       in Hand paid by the aforesaid ^Thomas^ Shaw otherwise called Gash at or before the Sealing and
       Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof they do hereby respectively acknowledge and
       for the docking barring & extinguishing all Estates Tail and all Reversions and Remainders
       thereupon expectant or depending of and in the Tracts of Land herein after
       mentioned with the Appurtenances and for assuring the same in the Manner herein
