(405) Ex.d To all to whom these Presents shall come I the Hon.ble Thomas Harley Lord Mayor of the City of London In pursuance of an Act of Parliament made and passed in the fifty Year of the Reign of his late Majesty King George the Second Intituled an Act for the more easy recovery of Debts in his Majesty's Plantations and between in America Do hereby Certify that on the Day of the Date hereof personally came and Appeared before me John Kidd the Deponant named in the Affidavit hereunto annexed being a person well upon the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God Did solemnly and Sincerely declare testify and depose to be true the Several matters and things mentioned and contained in the said annexed Affidavit In Faith and Testimony whereof I the said Lord Mayor have caused the Seal of the Office of Mayoralty of the said City of London to be hereunto paid Seal and Affixed and the Letter of Attorney mentioned and referred to in and by the said Affidavit to be hereunto also Annexed Dated in London the Twelfth Day of February in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Eight Hodges London to Wit John Kidd Clerk to M.r Gyles Lone of London Notary Publick maketh oath and Saith that he was present and did see Bartholomew Pomeroy (by the name and Addition of Bartholomew Pomeroy of London Merchant only Surviving Assignee of John Philpot and John Hutchinson late of London Merchants Bankrupts) Sign Seal Seal and as his Act and Deed in due form of Law Execute and deliver the Original Letter of Attorney hereunto Annexed bearing date the Twelfth day of February One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Eight for the uses Intents and purposes therein mentioned and that the said John Kidd Subscribed as a Witness to the Execution of the said Letter of Attorney is of the proper hand writing of him this Deponant Sworn the 12.th day of February 1768 Before me Thomas Harley Jn.o Kidd Mayor Know all Men by these Presents that I Bartholomew Pomeroy of London Merchant only Surviving Assignee of the Estate and Effects of John Philpot and John Hutchinson late of London merchants Bankrupts Have made Ordained Constituted and Appointed and by these presents do make ordain Constitute and Appoint Charles Digges of upper Marlbro in Prince Georges County in the province of Maryland Merchant and Frank Leeke of the Same place Merchant my true and Lawfull Attorneys giving and by these presents granting unto my said Attorney jointly and Severally full power and Lawfull Authority for me the said Constituent in my Name and on my behalf To ask demand and Receive of and from all and every person and |
