(402) Ex.d This Indenture made the Day of in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Eight Between John Brewer of Ann Arundel County and Province of Maryland Planter of the one part and Edward Amos of the abovesaid County and Province of the other part Witnesseth, Whereas William Poole of London Town in the County and Province aforesaid Merchant by his Deed of Bargain and Sale unto Elizabeth Merrick Daughter of Henry Merrick of the said County and Province Taylor bearing Date the Ninth Day of Aprill in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven Hundred and forty did for the Consideration therein mentioned make over Transfer and Confirm unto the said Elizabeth Merrick and hur heirs a Lott of land lying and being Scituate in London Town aforesaid known and Distinguished by Number Fifty Now this Indenture Wittnesseth That the said John Brewer (Son and heir of the said Elizabeth Merrick) for and in Consideration of the Sum of Three pounds Current Money to him in hand paid by the said Edward Amos on or before the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and of and from every part and parcel thereof doth Clearly and Absolutely acquit and Discharge the said Edward Amos his heirs Executors and Administrators and every of them by these Presents Hath Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed & Released and Confirmed And by these presents Doth Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff Release and Confirm unto him the said Edward Amos his heirs and Assigns for Ever All that Lot of Land Number Fifty lying in London Town aforesaid which was on the Twenty Second Day of December One thousand Seven hundred and Six Resurveyed and laid out for a certain Mary Purdee Beginning at a marked Stake Standing in the Line of Queen Street and Running thence South West with Lott Number forty Eight unto the Creek and then with the Meadows of the said Creek to the Intersection of Queen Street aforesaid with said Creek and then with said Street to the Begining Stake Containing and laid out for One hundred and forty Perches more or less Together with all the Estate Right Title Interest Use Trust property Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said John Brewer of in and to the said Lott of Land and every part and Parcell thereof To have and to hold the aforesaid Lott of Land and Premises with the Appurtenances unto the said Edward Amos his heirs and Assigns forever to the only proper use and Behoof of him the said Edward Amos his heirs and Assigns forever and to and for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever And the said John Brewer for himself and his heirs the said Lott of Land with the Appurtenances unto the said Edward Amos his heirs & Assigns against him the said John Brewer and his heirs and against all other Persons Claiming by from or under him Shall and will Warrant and for Ever Defend by these Presents In Witness whereof the party first to these Presents hath hereunto Set his hand Seal the Day & Year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered John Breure (Seal) in the presence of Ja.s M Mordie Received the Day of 1768 of Edward Amos the Sum of Three pound Curr.t Money it being the full Consideration Money within mentioned to be paid Currency by him to me £3 0 0 Witness present Ja.s M Mordie John Brewer Maryland |
