(155) November 14.th 1766 Received of Thomas Sellman the Sum of two Shillings and Eleven sterling for the use of Lord Baltimore being the Alienation fine on the within Land and by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General John Brice 5½ sides Recorded 14.th November 1766 x.d This Indenture made this eleventh day of November in the year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and Sixty six Between Andrew Tolson of Kent County in the province of Maryland Farmer of the one part and Nicholas Maccubbin of the City of Annapolis in the province aforesaid Merchant of the other part Witnesseth that the said Andrew Tolson for and in Consideration of the Sum of One hundred and forty pounds Current Money in Spanish Silver Dollars at seven shillings and six pence each to him in hand pair or secured to be paid by the said Nicholas Maccubbin at and before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof and of every part and parcel thereof doth Clearly acquit release and Discharge the said Nicholas Maccubbin his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns and every of them for ever by these Presents he the said Andrew Tolson hath Granted bargained Sold Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these presents Doth Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto the said Nicholas Maccubbin his heirs and Assigns for ever all that part of a certain Tract or parcell of Land purchased of Richard Bennett Esquire late Deceased Resurveyed and Called Middle Neck lying in Kent County aforesaid on the Branches of a Creek on the south side of Sassafras River called Fishing Creek Beginning at a Bounded Chesnutt Oak the first Beginnning Tree o said Land and runs from the said Chesnutt Oak west South west one hundred ninty and two perches to a Bounded white Oak the second Bound Tree of the said Tract and thence South South East one hundred and twenty one perches to a marked Maple Tree in a branch thence East North East one hundred and eighty eight perches until it Intersects with the last line of the Original Survey of the said Tract called Middle Neck and from thence by a Straight Line to the first bounded Tree Containing one hundred and Thirty eight Acres more or less And Also all that part of a Tract of Land called Luck adjoining to the aforesaid Tract called Middle Neck containing Sixty One Acres more or less now in Possession of the said Andrew Tolson with all and Singular the Edifices Improvements and Appurtenances thereunto belonging or which are Deemed to belong to the same and the Reversion (and) |
