       On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written            viz
                                                                                                       May 3.d 1763
       Then Came before me the subscriber one of his Lordship's Justices of the
       Provincial Court the within named William Paca and acknowledged the
       within Instrument of Writing to be his act and Deed, And the Lands and
       Premisses herein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named
       Stephen Bordley his Heirs and assigns for ever according to the true intent
       and meaning thereof                  before         J Hepburn
                    Recorded the 3.d day of May 1763

             I Thomas Hodgkin do swear that I will not for Lucre or Malice
       delay any person or persons applying to me for any Bussiness belonging to the
       Office I officiate in; and that I will not directly or indirectly ask, demand, take,
       or receive from, or charge to any such person or persons to my own Use
       (Except my salary from my Principal) any Fee or reward whatsoever, for
       any service I shall do as Clerk of the said office   And also that in making
       out the office fees I will not wittingly or willingly charge other or higher
       Fees, than limitted by the act entituled an act for amending the staple of
       Tobacco, for preventing Frauds in his Majesty's Customs & for Limitation
       of Officers Fees

             Recorded the 12.th day of May 1763
