       Maryland fs.t  Know all Men by these Presents that We John Eden James
       Mills & Meverell Lock of S.t Marys County in the Province aforesaid are holden and
       firmly bound to the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary in the full and just sum
       of two hundred Pounds Current Money to be paid unto his said Lordship his Heirs
       and Successors To the which Payment well and truly to be made we bind ourselves
       and every of us our and every of our Heirs Executors and Administrators jointly
       and severally for the whole and in the whole firmly by these presents sealed with our seals
       and Dated the 21.st day of November in the Ninth Year of his Lordships Dominion
       Anno Domini 1759

       The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bounden
       John Eden whilst he shall continue in the Office of Receiver or Collector of the
       Land Tax in S.t Marys County shall well and faithfully Execute and perform
       the Several Dutys required of him to be performed by the Act of Assembly of
       this Province Entituled an act for granting a Supply of Forty thousand Pounds
       for his Majesty's Service and Striking thirty four thousand and fifteen Pounds six
       Shillings thereof in Bills of Credit and raising a fund for sinking the same and
       do well and faithfully pay to the Commissioners of the Loan Office for the Time
       being the Several Sums of Money which he shall receive or be answerable for
       in Virtue of the same Act at such times as by the said Act is directed according to
       the true Intent and Meaning thereof then the above Obligation to be void and of
       none Effect Otherwise to remain in full Force and Virtue

                   On the back of the aforegoing Bond was thus Endorsed to wit

       S.t Marys County November 21.st 1759   Then did we call before us the subscribers
       two of his Lordships Justices for the County aforesaid John Hobson and John Reeves
       who were Witnesses to the within Bond and they made Oath on the Holy
       Evangelists of Almighty God that they saw the within Mentioned John
