       27.th April 1761   Received the Sum of Nine Pence half penny
       sterling being the Alienation fine for the within Land for the use of
       the Lord Baltimore

x.d  This Indenture made on the twenty Second day of April in the
       Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred Sixty and one  Between
       Henry Darnall of Prince Georges County Gentleman and Henry Darnall
       Jun.r of the Same County Eldest Son and Heir of the said Henry Darnall
       the Elder of the one Part and Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis Esq.r of the
       other Part Witnesseth that the Said Henry Darnall the Elder and Henry Darnall
       the Younger for and in Consideration of five Pounds Sterling and Divers other
       Large Sums of Money to them in hand paid The receipt whereof they do hereby
       acknowledge and thereof and every Part thereof him the Said Charles Carroll
       Do acquit Exonorate and Discharge Have Given Granted Bargained
       Sold Aliend Enfeoft & Confirmed and by these Presents Do give grant
       Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto him the said Charles
       Carroll his Heirs and Assigns for ever  All their Estate Right Title and
       Interest which they now have or hereafter at any Time may have of
       and in Remainder or Remainders Reversion or Reversions in all the
       Several Tracts or Parcels of Land following to wit  All that Tract or
       Parcel of Land called the Addition containing by Pattent Nine hundred and
       forty Acres more or less Three hundred Acres of Land being part of his
       Lordships Kindness adjoining to the said Addition and whereon the
       Dwelling House of the said Henry Darnall the Elder now Stands  And
       also all that Parcel of Land called Toogood now in the Possession of the
       said Henry Darnall containing one hundred Acres more or less  And
       also all that other Part or Parcell of Land now in the Possession of the said
       Henry Darnall the Elder called and known by the Name of Pitchcroft
       and also all the Negroes Horses Cattle sheep Hogs Houshold Goods
