(209) Feb.ry 10th 1761 Came the within named Charles Carroll Esq.r before us the subscribers two of his Ldps Justices of Ann Arundel County and Acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed according to the true intent and meaning of the within Release and the act of Assembly in such cases made and Provided Recorded 10th February 1761 R Ghiselin 11½ sides Thus far accot.d for w.th the Com.rs W.m Steuart x.d By this Publick Instrument of Procuration or Letter of Attorney be it known that on the twenty fourth Day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Before me Abraham Ogier Notary Publick dwelling in London duly admitted and Sworn and in the presence of the Witnesses hereafter named Personally appeared M.r Thomas Philpot of London Merchant Sole Executor of the Last will and Testament of Bryan Philpot late of London Merchant Deceased which said Appearer in Quality of Executor as aforesaid Declared to have made ordained constituted and appointed and by these presents doth make ordain constitute and appoint John Gassaway of South river in Maryland Esq.r his true and Lawfull Attorney Giving and hereby Granting unto his said Attorney Giving and hereby granting unto his said Attorney full power and Lawfull Authority for him the said constituent in his name and on his behalf in Quality of Executor ^as^ aforesaid to take out Letters of Administration to the Estate and Effects of the said Brian Philpot in the Comissarys Court in Maryland or in any other court competent and if required to give all necessary securities and thereupon for and on the part and behalf of him the said constituent to ask (demand) |
