4 Sussex fs x.d Ad Delibacon Gaol Dm Regis Com Sui Sussex tent apud Eastgrinsted in & p Com pd die Lune sexto deumodre Martÿ Anno requi Regis Georgis nunc magne Britaine &c Quinto Dora Robto proce Ac va Baron suÿ dcr Dm Regis & Simone Michell Acs Inster ibin Whereas at the Generall Gaol Delivery held for the s.d county the first Day of August ^last^ Robert Sturt was convicted of Larceny for which he was lyable to burning in the hand and instead of being so Punished was Ordered by the court persuant to the late act of parliment for further preventing Robery &c & more effectuall transportation of felonies &c to be transeported to some of his Majesties Colonies ^and^ plantacons in America for the space of seventy years And Richard Rose & Tho.s Reynolds being now convicted of severall Larcenys for which they are lyable to burning in the hand or whipping are instead of being so punished adjudged ^and^ ordered by this court pursuant to the said act of parlement to be tranceported to some of his Majesties Colonies & plantacons in America for the like space of seven Years & his Majesty haveing been pleased to extend his Royall Mercy (signefyed by the Right Honourable John Craggs Esq.r one of his Majesties principall Secretarys of State unto John Milton Elizabath Symonds & Tho.s Browing who are attained of severall Felonies for w.ch they ar excluded the benifitt of Clergy upon condicons of transeportation to some of his Majesties s.d Colonies & plantacons in America (It is) |
