260 supremacy and the oath menconed in an Act Entituled An Act to declare the Alteration in the Oath appointed to be taken by the Act Entituled An Act for the further security of his majestys person and the succession of the Crowne in the protestant Line and for extinguishing the hopes of the pretended Prince of Wales and all other pretenders and their open and secret Abettors and for declareing the association to be determined As also that you make and subscribe the declaration menconed in an act of Parliament made in the twenty fifth year of the reigne of King Charles the second entituled An Act for preventing dangers which may happen from Popish Recusants and likewise that you take the usuall oath for the due execut.n of the offices and trust of our Cap.t Gen.l and Governour in Chief in and over our said province and territories of Maryland for the due and Impartiall Administration of Justice And further that you take the Oath required to be taken by Governours of plantations to do their utmost that the severall laws relateing to trade and plantat.ns be Observed which said Oaths and declaration our Councill in our said province or any three of the members thereof have hereby full power and authority and are required to tender and administer unto you and in Your absence to our Lieu.t Governour (if there be any upon the place) All which being duly performed you shall administer unto each of the members of our said Councill as also to our Lieutenant Governour (if there be any upon the place) the oaths appointed by law to be taken instead of the oaths of allegiance and supremacy and the oaths menconed in the said act entituled an act to declare the alteration in the oaths appointed to be taken by the act entituled an act for the further security of his majestys person and the succession of the Crown in the protestant line and for extinguishing the hopes of |
