147 deced As by the Authentick Copy before written appeares which said Richard Carter ^Colvile^ and Francis his wife and Mary Carter did Joyntly & severally declare to have made ordained & Constituted and by these presents do Joyntly and Severally make ordain & Constitute Philemon Loyd and William Bladen of Maryland afd Esquires their true & Lawfull attornies Giveing & by these presents Joyntly & severally granting unto their s.d Attornies and either of them Joyntly and Severally full power & Lawfull authority for them the s.d Constituents in their and any of their names and to their & each of their Uses to ask demand Levy sue for and by all Lawfull wayes and meanes to enter into & upon Recover and Receive of and from Eliz.a Carter Relict and administratrix of the said Richard Carter dece.d and of & from all and every other person & Persons whome it shall or may Concerne all and Singular Negroes Slaves messuages Houses Lands Tenements goods Chattells Effects Estate and things whatsoever to them or any of them the said Constituents due oweing belonging or in any wise appertaining as being Kindred or relations of the said Richard Carter deced for or by what Reason or meanes soever nothing excepted nor reserved & to that end to make do signe & pass all & every such writeings acts matters & things as shall be Requisite and necessary in and about the premises which shall be of as much force Effect and Virtue to all Intents Constructions and purposes as if by them or any of them the said Constituents made done or executed also if need be to appeare before all Lords Judges and Justices in any Court or Courts thereto answer defend & reply in all matters and Causes touching or concerning the premises and to do say pursue Implead seize sequester attach Imprison & to Condemn and out of prison againe to deliver upon Recoveries & Receipts to give one or more acquittances or other sufficient discharges in due forme of Law And Generally in and Concerning the premises ot do performe & execute all & effectually to all Intents Constructions & purposes as they the said Constituents Joyntly or Severally might or Could do if Psonally (Present) |
