914 Dorchester Co By Vertue of a Warrant granted unto Feb.ry y.e 24.th 1701/2 William Edmondson of this County for three thousand acres of Land bearing date the tenth day of October one thousand seven hundred and one I John Taylor Deputy surveyor under James Heath his Lordships survey.r Generall Doe humbly Certify that I have laid out for him the said William Edmondson a tract of Land called Edmondsons Ridge lying on the east side of Cheseapeak and in the freshes of great Choptank river Beginning at a bounded Oake standing near the head of Watts creek that Issueth out of the said river and the south side of a great swamp that is supposed to Make into the North west fork of Nanticoke river and about One hundred petres distance from A Pond or round Pacoson on the same side the swamp & standing south east and by east from the said Pond from thence running southwest and ^by^ south one hundred and ten Pches to a small Watry slack from thence West North west or northwest one hundred and forty Pches from thence North west forty Pches thence West North west sixty Pches thence west forty Pches thence North west & by west two hundred Pches to the said Branch or swamp ^thence^ and so with the same to the first tree containing four hundred acres more or lesse to be holden of the Mann.r of Nantecoke P John Taylord D.pty survey.r " (Note that the originall of the above record was raced " and the word [thence] interlined as it appears above " Test Th Bordley Clk The above Certificate was Endorsed as foll.o viz.t |
