       The Jurors of our Sov.r Lord the king
       for the body of this province upon their Oaths
       Do present that James Finley Late of annar.ll
       County planter they 9.th Day of aug.t in the y.r of
       our Lord God 1700 at South river hundred in anna.ll
       County afd w.th force and armes of his mallice
       forethought in and upon the body of one Barth.o
       Levell Late of the same County [illegible] then
       and there in the peace of God and of our sov.r
       Lord the king being Did make and assault and
       w.th a Certaine Cane of the price of one shil
       w.th the said James finley in his right hand then
       and there Did hold the said Barth.o Levell
       Felloniously Did Strike and Gave to him the
       said Barth.o Levell one mortall blow upon
       the head of the said Barth.o Levell and sev.ll
       other blows upon his body Gave of w.ch said
       mortall blow upon the head of the said Barth.o
       Levell the said Barth.o then and there instantly
       Dyed and so the Jur.rs afd upon their Oaths afd say
       that the said James Finley of his mallice
       forethought him the sd Barth.o Levell fell.o Did
       kill and mrther ag.t his maj.ts peace his Crown & dignity
