       of God of England Scotland France and
       Ireland king defender of the faith &ca
       To all to whom these Presents shall come
       Greeting Know Yee that wee of our Especiall
       Grace retaine knowledge and neere
       mocon have Given Granted And by
       these Presents doe Give and Grant unto our
       Trusty and Welbeloved S.r Thomas Lawrence
       Barronett the Office or place of Secretary of
       our Province of Maryland in America and
       him the said S.r Thomas Lawrence Secretary
       in our Province of Maryland Wee doe make
       ordaine and constitute by these presents
       in the Roome of Thom Lawrence Esq.r deceased
       To have hold exercise and enjoy the
       said Office or place unto the said S.r Thom.s
       Lawrence by himselfe of his sufficient deputy
       dureing our pleasures and the residence of him the
       and S.r Thomas Lawrence in the said Province
