719) 729 Maryland fs Know all men by these presents That I Henry Lowe of Calvert County in the Province of Maryland Gent am holden and firmely bound to the hon.ble Nicholas Sewall of Calvert County aforesaid Esq.r in the sume of Foure hundred pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid to the said Nicholas or his certen Attorney executors or assignes To which paym.t well and truely to be made I bind me my heires executors and adm.rs and every of us firmely by these presents Sealed with my seale dated the Eighteenth day of May in the yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundred Eighty and Six Whereas there is a marriage by Gods grace shortly to be had & solempnized between the above bound Henry Lowe and Susanna Darnall widow and relict of John Darnall decd with whome the said Henry is to receive as a marriage porcon a Competent estate aswell by setlement of land whereof she is seized fee as of a personall Estate whereof she is now possessed Now the Condicon of this obligacon is such That if the said marriage shall take effect and the said Susannah shall happen to depart this life and leave the said Henry her surviving and he before her death shall be legally invested as of fee in fee in all those lands whereof the said Susannah is now seized Then if he the said Henry Lowe within Twelve months after the death of the said Susannah shall well and truely pay or cause to be paid unto and amongst such of the children that shall be begotten betweene the said Henry and Susannah as she the said Susannah in or by her last will & testament or other will purporting her last will under her hand & seale in the presence of two or more credible witnesses shall leave & devise the same unto) the sume of One hundred pounds of Currant money of England within The under written by such proporcons and in such manner and forme and to such uses intents and purposes as the same shall be by her bequeathed amongst the Children aforesaid if any such Child or children shall be And also shall pay the sume of one hundred pounds more of like Currant money of England within Twelve months after the decease of the said Susannah to such person or persons as she the said Susannah by such her said last will & testament or writing shall leave will and give the same unto by such proporcons & in such manner & to such uses & intents is the same shall be by her given and bequeathed And further if the said Henry Lowe shall suffer the said Susanna to make such will or writing And the same to be legally proved by the Executor or Executors named therein Then this present obligacon to be voyd and of none effect or else it to stand and abide in full force & vertue Sealed & delivered in the pnce of W.m Digges Henry Lowe (sigil) Rich.d Keene Tho Grunwin Know all men by these presents That I Ignatius Creacraft of the freshes of Patuxent River in Calvert County in the Province of Maryland Gent for divers good causes and Consideracons me hereunto moving and principally for and in Consideracon of marriage to be solempnized consumated and made betweene the said Ignatius Craycraft and Sophia Bedle of the said County and province spinster Doe hereby promise contract and oblige myselfe In case the said Sophia doe happen to out live me And that it be the blessed will and pleasure of Almighty God that it shall leave her with her Children Child or with Child then doe I give graunt and hereby forever confirme to her the said Sophia for and in Consideracon aforesaid to her and her heires for ever Two thirds of all |
