722 (712 Navigation in the said Province that then this Obligation to be void and of none effect otherwise to be and Remaine in full force and virtue Signed sealed and Delivered by M.r Muschamp M.r Edmundson in the p.rsence of his G Muschamp (seale) Ex.ncy in Councill John Edmondson (seale) Hen Denton Clk Concil Rob.tt Quary (seale) Ed Randolph George Plater Know all men by these presents that I S.r Thomas Laurence Baron.t Secretary of Maryland am holden & firmly bound unto his Ex.ncy Francis Nicholson Esq.r in the full sume of two hundred pounds of good and Lawfull Money of England to be paid to the said Francis Nicholson his heires or Assignes To the which payment well and truly to be made I bind my self my heires Ex.rs and Adm.rs firmly by these p.rsents sealed with my seale and Dated the 14.th day of November in the sixth Year of their Ma.ts Reign Anno Dom 1694 Whereas his Ex.ncy the said Fra Nicholson hath this day drawne three severall Bills of Exchange on Mesiers Macajah Perry Thomas Lane and Richard Perry M.rchants in London all of one Tennor and date and payable at sight to the said S.r Thomas Laurence Baron.t for the sume of one hundred pounds sterl if the said sume of one hundred pounds sterl shall be well and truly satisfyed and paid upon the s.d Bills of Exchange to the s.d S.r Thomas Laurence according to the Tennor of the same Bills Then the Condicon of this Obligacon is such that if the said S.r Thomas Laurence his heires Ex.rs or Adm.rs doe and shall Well and truly Will in or at the Expiracon of twelve Months from the Receipt of the said one hundred pounds Sterl Upon the said Bills satisfye and pay to the said Francis Nicholson Esq.r his heires or Assignes the said sume of one hundred pounds sterl Money of England with Lawfull Intrest for the same without fraud or Covin Sealed and DD in Presence of Thomas Laurence (seale) Ed Randolph Will.m Dent Maryland fs Know all men by these presents that Wee Phillip Clarke and Robert Mason of y.e Province of Maryland Gentlemen are holden and firmly bound unto his Ex.ncy Francis Nicholson Esq.r their Ma.ts Cap.t Gen.ll and Chief Govern.r of this Province in the full and Just Sume of one Thousand pounds of Lawfull Money of England to be paid to the s.d Francis Nicholson Esq.r his Ex.rs Adm.rs or Assigns to the which paym.t well and Truly to be made Wee bind ourselves and Either of Us by himselfe our and Either of our heires Ex.rs and Adm.rs Joyntly & severally for the Whole and in the Whole firmly by these presents Witness our hands and seales Novemb.r 19.th 1694 The |
