(708 718 of England to be paid to the said Francis Nicholson Esq.r his En.rs Adm.rs or assigns to y.e w.ch paym.t well & truly to be made & done We bind ourselves & either of us by himself our & either of our heirs En.rs & Adm.rs in the whole and for the whole joyntly & severally frimly by these p.rsents Wittness our hand & seals this 22.d day of May Anq.r Dom.t 1695 The condicon of the ^above written^ obligacon is such that whereas his Ex.ncy Francis Nicholson Esq.r aforesaid hath comissionated & appointed John Thompson to be to be Navall Officer of the Limits & p.rcincts of Cecill County in the abovesaid province by his comission dated the day & year abovesaid Now if the said John Thompson shall well & truly perform the s.d office according to y.e sev.ll acts of trade & Navigacon in that case made & provided & that observe y.e directions in the acts of assembly of this province relateing to the duty of Navall Officers and from time to time save & defend & keep harmless the said Francis Nicholson Esq.r from all damage loss and charges that he the said Francis Nicholson shall sustain at any time by reason of the s.d John Thompsons non performance of y.e s.d office soe long as he shall continue in the same as in the sev.ll Laws is Enacted and ordained then the above obligacon to be voyd and of none effect otherwise to stand & remaine in full force & vertue Sealed & delivered in y.e Jn.o Thompson (seal) p.rsence of us Casp A Herman (seal) Robert Smith Edward Boothby Maryland fs Know all men by these p.rsents that we Thomas Briscoe of the Province of Maryland Gent and S.r Thomas Lawrence Barronett are holden & firmly bound unto his En.cy Francis Nicholson Esq.r their Ma.ties Cap.t Gen.ll chiefe Govern.r of this Province in the full & just sume of one thousand pounds of Lawfull money of England to be paid to the said Francis Nicholson Esq.r his En.rs Adm.rs & Assigns to the w.ch paym.t well & truly to be made we bind our selves & either of us by himself our & either of our heirs En.rs & Adm.rs joyntly & sev.lly for the whole and in the whole firmly by these p.rsents Wittness our hands & seals No.br 6.th 1694 The Condicon of the above written obligacon is such that whereas his En.cy Francis Nicholson Esq.r afs.d hath comissionated and appointed the said Thomas Briscoe to be Navall Officer for the district of Potuxant river w.thin the said province by his Comission bearing equall date w.th these p.rsents Now if the said Thomas Briscoe shall well & truly perform the said office according to the sev.ll acts of parliam.t in that case made & provided and shall observe the directions contained in the acts of assembly of this province relateing to y.e duty of Navall officers & from tyme to tyme save defend & keep harmless the said Francis Nicholson Esq.r from all damage loss & charges that he the said Francis Nicholson Esq.r shall susteyne |
