707 717 Ex.d for 18 6.s 8.d Maryland July y.e 20.th 1692 At ten days sight after this my Third Bill of Ex.a my first & second not being paid please to pay unto M.r John Askty of Biddeford or ord.r y.e sum of eighteen pounds six shillings & eight pence sterling please to make good payment & place it to acct of y.e ship Samuel & Henry (it being for sloope hire) & in soe doing you will oblige s.r yo.r serv.t to Comand To M.r Peter Renew Merch.tt John Mead in Sherborne Lane in London Maryland fs Know all men by these p.rsents that we Richard Hill and Samuell Young of y.e Province of Maryland are holden & firmly bound unto Francis Nicholson Esq.r their Ma.ties Cap.t Gen.ll & Govern.r in chiefe of this Province in y.e full & just sum of one thousand pounds of Lawfull money of England to be paid to the said Francis Nicholson Esq.r his Execut.rs Administ.rs or assigns to the w.ch pay.mt to be well & truly made & done we bind ourselves & either of us by himself our & either of our heires Exect.rs & Administ.rs in the whole and for the whole Joyntly & severally by these p.rsents wittness our hands & seals this The Condicon of y.e above ^written^ obligacon is such that whereas his Ex.ncy Francis Nicholson Esq.r aforesaid hath Comissionated & appointed Richard Hill to be a Naval Officer of y.e port of Anarundell in the above said Province by his Comission dated 6.th day Oct.r 1694 now if the said Richard Hill shall well & truly pform y.e said office according to the sev.ll acts of Trade & Navigacon in that case made & provided and shall observe y.e directions in the Acts of Assembly of this Province relateing to y.e duty of Navall Officers & from time to time save defend & keep harmless y.e said Francis Nicholson Esq.r from all damage loss & charges that he y.e s.d Francis Nicholson Esq.r shall sustaine at any tyme by reason of the s.d Richard Hill non performance of y.e s.d office soe long as he shall continue in y.e same as in y.e sco.ll Laws is Enacted and ordained then the above obligacon to be voyd & of none effect otherwise to stand & remain in full force & vertue Sealed and delivered Rich.d Hill (seal) in y.e p.rsence of Sam.ll Young (seal) Edward Randolph L G James Frisby Maryland fs Know all men by these p.rsents that we John Thompson & Casparns Harman of y.e Province of Maryland Gent are holden & ^firmly bound unto^ Francis Nicholson Esq.r their Ma.tie Cap.t Gen.ll and Govern.r in chief of this Province in the full & just sume of one thousand pounds of Lawfull money of England |
