592 (582 saw Mottrom Wright signe seale & Deliver the above Mentioned as his Act & Deed Jurat die & Anno Sup.ra Allienacon payd Vide Receipt in W Tailard Clk f.o 375 Mend that this day to wit the 4.th day of October 1692 came into the Provinciall Court of this Province of Maryland John Llewellin Gent and by Vertue of the above Menconed letter of attorny & authority thereunto him granted did Acknowledged the aforegoeing conveyance of the land called Turkey point to be the Act & Deed of the afsd Mattrom Wright to be the p.rper Right of the s.d Edward Chilton his heires & assignes for ever according to an act of Assembly of this Province in that case made & Provided W Taylard Clk Recorded 7.th October 1692 This Indenture made the fourth day of October in the Fourth year of the Reign of our soveraign Lord and Lady William & Mary by the Grace of God King and Queen of England Scotland France & Ireland Defend.rs of the Faith &c And in the year of our Lord God One Thousand six hundred Ninety and Two Between Edward Chilton of the County of Charles Citty in the Collony of Virginia Gent of the one part and Lionel Copley of the Province of Maryland Esq.r of the other part Witnesseth that Whereas Richard Wright m.rchant & Nicholas Spencer of London m.rchant had Granted unto them by Letters Pattent under the Great Seale of the afsd Province of Maryland bearing date the second day of May Anno Domini on thousand six hundred Fifty and Nine a tract or p.rcell of Land called Boulton Lyeing on the East side of Chesepeake Bay on the North side of a River in the sd Bay called Elk River the Land Called Turky Point begining at a Marked Oake by a Marsh side Neere along sandy point runing for breadth down the River Two hundred & Ninty perches and by the Bay side two hundred perches bounding on the East by a line drawne North & by East from the said oake for length three hundred & twenty perches on the North by a line drawne West south west from the end of the North line into the sd Bay on the West with the sd Bay on the south with the said River containing and Now laid out for One Thousand Acres More or less all whose right Title and Interest of in and unto the said Land the said Nicholas Spencer (in Consideration of full satisfaction recen for the same) did by Indorsem.t on back side of the said Letters Pattents on the tenth day of September Anno Domini 1661 Assigne & sett over unto him the said Richard Wright as by the said Letters Pattents remaining upon Reccord in the said Province of Maryland And the Endorsement of the said Nicholas Spencer to the sd Richard Wright afsd relation being thereunto had more fully and at large it doth and may appeare By which meanes the sd Richard Wright became legally possessed vested and seized of and in the whole said Tract of Land and p.rmisses in an Estate of Fee simple to him & his heires for Ever in manner and forme afsd All which said Tract or p.rcell of Land the sd Richard Wright (thereof Lawfully vested and seized as afsd) did by his last Will and Testament in Writeing devise unto his sonn Motrom Wright his heires and assignes for Ever And the |
