552 (542 Know all Men by these Presents That I Mary Kingston of Plymouth in the County of Devon widdow Relict of the Last Will & Testament of my Husband Richard Kingston of Plymouth aforesaid Deceased Have made Constituted & Deputed And in and by These Presents doe make Constitute & Depute my trusty friend Thomas Ashwick of Plymouth in the County aforesaid Merchant to be my true & Lawfull Attorney for me in my Name and to my use to Aske Demand Recover Receive and Take of all and singular pson & psons joyntly & severally whome it shall or may Concerne both in Maryland & Virginia all such sum & sumes of Moneys Tobacco Goods and Debts whatsoever due unto my Deceased Husband and which from me is Detained Giveing and by these Presents Granting unto my said Attorney full power and Authority in the Law for not payment & Deliverie to sue Implead Arrest Imprison Cause to be Condemned And out of Prison to Deliver Recover Release & Receive And thereupon Finally to accord and Acquitt Letters of Acquittance or any other Discharge for mee & in my Name to Compound Seale & Deliver Attorney or Attorneys one or more to Ordaine and sett and at his plesure againe to Revoake And Moreover to doe Execute pforme Conclude & finish for mee all & singular thing and things Act & Acts that shall bee Expedient & Necessary Concerning the Execucon of the Premisses as throughly wholly and surely as I might or Could doe if psonally present And all & whatsoever my said Attorney shall happen to doe or Cause to be done herein I promise to allow Rattifie and Establish In Wittness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal in Plymouth the seaventh Day of December in the Fourth year of his Majesties Reigne King James the second over England &c Anno 1688 Sealed & Delivered Mary Kingston (sealed in Presence of Robert Gooding On the Back side of the aforesaid Letter of Attorney was Thomas Thorne Endorsed as followeth (Viz.t) Richard Veale Matthew M Glanfeild June the 25.th Day Anno Domi 1689 his Marke Then Came before me Robert Gooding & Matthew Glandfeild two of the wittnesses to the within written Letter of Attorney And made oath upon the Holy Evangelist that they saw the within Named Mary Kingston Relict of Richard Kingston Deceased signe seal & Deliver as her Act & Deed the within written Letter of Attorney to the Used within menconed Jurat Coram me Clement Hill Recor July y.e First 1689 p R Tull Clk Richard Griffin desires his Marke of his Cattle to be Recorded which is as followeth (to wit) A swallow Forke on the left Ear and a Nick under the Right Ear Recor July y.e First 1689 R Tull Clk Zacharia Vanswaringen desires his Marke of his Cattle to be Recorded w.ch is as foll (to witt) Cropt in both Eares and Three slitts in Each Eare Recor July y.e First 1689 p R Tull Clk Know all Men by these Presents that I John Dillawood of the County of Gloster Planter doe for Severall Reasons me thereunto moveing doe by these Presents Nominate Constitute & Appoint my Trusty and well Beloved friend John Evans of the City of S.t Maries Gen.t in the Province of Maryland my true & Generall Lawfull Attorney for me and in my Name to sell Alienate and Confirme all Lands Tenements And Hereditaments whatsoever to me Belonging in the Province of Maryland and when soe sold to acknowledge the same as the Law in the said Province made & Provided |
