Aprill the 20.th 1688
       Came then John Hiett and Michaell Errle and made oath that they saw
       the within named Robert Brondson signe seal and deliver the within mentioned
       to the uses Intents and purposes therein Incerted

Virg.a fs    Know all men by these presents y.t I Francis Page of York County in
       Virg.a do nominate Constitute & appoint my Hon.rd Brother W.m Digges
       Esq.r to be my true & Lawfull Attorney for me & in my name to
       demand receive make sale & dispose of a Negro man belonging
       to me at the House of M.r Garret Vanswareingen in S.t Maries
       Maryland & whatsoever shall by my s.d Bro.r be done in relation
       to the s.d Negro shall bee held & deemed good & Effectuall as
       if I my selfe had acted & done the same Witness my hand
       & seale this 28.th day of May 1688

       This Indenture made the 26.th day of Aprill A.o 1688 Between Charles
       Lane of S.t Maries County in the Province of Maryland Joyner of the one
       part and John Rivelÿ of the said County & Province Planter of the other
       part Wittnesseth that the said Charles Lane for and in Consideration of
       two thousand four hundred pounds of tobacco to him in hand paid
       before the sealing and delivering of these presents by the said John Rively
                                                                                                             
       well and truely payd the Receipt whereof hee the said Charles Lane
       doth hereby Acknowledge and himself therewith fully satisfied Contented &
       payd thereof and of every part and parcell thereof doth fully clearly &
       absolutely Acquitt discharge Exonerate ^&^ releas the said John Rively his
       heirs Executors & Administrators for ever and by these presents hath
       Given Granted Aliened Bargained sould Enfeafed and Confirmed &
       by these Presents doth firmly Clearly and absolutely Give grante Bargaine
       sell Alien Enfeoffe and Confirme unto the said John Rively his heirs Ex.rs
