(440 Know all Men By these presents That I John Lewellin of S.t Maries Gent am held and firmely bound to John Tanner of Calvert Countÿ m.rchant in The full and Just sume of Nintÿ thousand pounds of good sound m.rchantable tobaco In Caske to be paid to the said John Tanner or to his Certaine attorneÿ his Ex.rx adm.rs or assignes to w.ch payment well and truelÿ to bee Made and done I Bynd Mÿ selfe mÿ heires Ex.rx and adm.rx firmely by these psents seased w.th Mÿ seale dated the first Daÿ of December annoq.r Domini 1686 The Condition of this p.rsent above written obligacion is such that if the above Bound John Lewellin his heires Ex.rxs adm.rs and assignes and Everÿ of them shall and Doe from time time and att all tÿmes for Ever hereafter well and Truelÿ observe performe fulfill and Keep all and singular the Covenants grants Bargaines articles Clauses and agreements Mentioned and Expressed in one Certaine Indenture of bargaine and sale bearing Even Date w.th the above Written obligacion had and made bÿ & betweene the above bounden John Lewellin of the one part and the said John Tanner of the other parte Which on the part and behalfe of the said John lewellin his heires Ex.rs adm.rs and assignes are & also to be observed perform fullfill & Keept and That in and by all things according to the true intent and meaneing of the said recited Indenture respectively in all things points & Conditions that then This p.rsent above written obligacion shall bee voyd and of None Effect other wife to stand and remaine in full force strength and vertue signed sealed & delivered in the John Llewellin (sealed presence off Mich Taneÿ Geo Parker This Indenture Made the third Daÿ of Julÿ in the second ÿeare of the Reigne of our most Gracious soveraigne Lord James the second Bÿ the Grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland King &c annoq.r Domini one thousand six hundred Eighty six Betweene the honorable Joseph Bridger Esq.r of the Isle of Weight Countÿ in Virginia and Hester his wife of the one Parte and Thomas Jones of the County off Somersett in the Province of Mariland M.rchant of the other part Wittnesseth that whereas the Lord Baltemore Proprieatarÿ of the Province of Mariland by his Deed of Grannt under the great seale used in the said Province of Marÿland for Grannteing of Lands there Beareing Date at the Cittÿ of S.t Maries the first daÿ of August in the two & fortieth Yeare of Cæcilius Lord Baltemore &c his Dominion our Mariland annoq.r Domini one thousand six hundred seaventÿ three did for the Consideracion |
