317) 336 goods were laden or taken into the said Shipp or Vessell under the paine of the loss of the shipp or vessell with all her gunns tackle furniture and apparrell and of all such goods of the growth produccon or manufacture of Europe as were not bona fide taken in or laden in England Wales or the Towne of Barwick upon Tweed to be recovered and divided in manner aforesaid As in the same statute is more fully contained Nevertheless the said John Estis and Jasper Lynch arriveing in this Province of Maryland upon the Twenty fourth of January in the yeare of our Lord 1684 and comeing to Anchor in the Port of Petuxent in Calvert County in the said Province of Maryland did there stay for some dayes and after sett sayle and upon the first day of February in the yeare 1684 aforesaid came to Anchor in the port of S.t Marys in S.t Marys County in the said Province of Maryland within the Jurisdiccon of this Court and then and there rideing at Anchor and well knoweing the said Statute to be in full force and unrepealed but the same statute not waighing North paines penaltys and forfeitures in the same Contayned any wayes regarding then and there had imported and brought into the said Province of Maryland in the said shipp or vessell diverse and sundry goods and Merchandizes of the growth production and manufacture of Europe which was not really and bona fide shipped laden or taken in in England Wales or the Towne of Barwick upon Tweed but were by the said John Estis and Jasper Lynch shipped or laden or taken on board the said Shipp or Vessell in the Kingdome of Ireland That is to say Eighteen hogsheads of Clarrett Wyne three barrells of salt a Teirce of brandy one hundred and thirty Ells of browne linnen two boxes of Candles fifty six paire of mens French Falls seaven paire of boyes eleven paire of womens shooes Nine dozen of Yarne stockins Eighty six Guiletts four dozen of womens white hafted knives sixteene dozen of thread laces five pounds of whited browne thread two gross and a halfe of haire Coate buttons Tenn pounds of Collored thred Eight peeces of sailke golowine four peeces of Ferrett Fifteene paire of Irish stockins one end of white dunity five course sheets Two parcells of curryed leather two pounds of collored third Twenty paire of course yarne stockins sixty two black hafted knives twenty five paire of brogues forty two paire of mens French falls seaven paire of button pocketts Two dozen of Tanned leather gloves Two grosse of Coate third Coate buttons three shoemakers knives & a hammer a parcell of braceletts six Jewes harpes two remmnants of Tape Eight dozen of Coate and four doz of breast buttons three frize suites Tenn yards and a halfe of Frize Eighty yards of red perpetuana Two yards halfe of black shaloue seaven pre of yaren stockins Twenty give yards of Irish linning Tenn yards and halfe of penniston Four paires of mens worsted stockins Twenty five felt hatts Eighty three paire of Irish brogues Twelve Felt hatts Twelve pcells of Frize from N.o A to N.o M &c containing one hundred and eighty yards Twenty Eight yards of broad black Flannell Twenty Nine yards and halfe of white board Flannell Fifty five hatts Eleaven suites Coates and breeches for men and boyes two paire of breeches Ninteene paire of mens French falls thirty paire of womens shoose they the said John Estis and Jasper Lynch upon the said First day of February aforesaid there did out of the said ship or Vessell unload and putt a shoare the severall goods and Comoditys herein before menconed and other Europian we as aforesaid by them in the said ship imported They the said John Estis and Jasper Lynch nor either of them not haveing (first |
