AN ACT concerning
Charles County — Parks and Recreation Board
FOR the purpose of dealing with the powers and duties of
the Parks and Recreation Board in Charles County;
and generally dealing with the Board.
BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,
The Public Local Laws of Charles County
Section 336(b), (d) , (f), (g) and (h)
Article 9 — Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1969 Edition and 1972 Supplement, as amended)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 336(b), (d) , (f) , (g) and (h) of
the Public Local Laws of Charles County being Article 9
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1969
Edition and 1972 Supplement, as amended) be and they are
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

336.
(b) The Board shall consist of seven members of
whom one shall be selected by the Board of Education of
Charles County, [two shall be selected by the County
Commissioners, one by the Charles County Chamber of
Commerce, and three] FOUR SHALL BE SELECTED BY THE COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS, ONE BY THE CHARLES COUNTY CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE, AND ONE by the Governor. All members of the
Board shall be appointed for four years from the first
day of January of the year of their appointments, or
until their successors are appointed. Vacancies, except
those at the expiration of a term, shall be filled in
the same manner as the original appointments and for the
unexpired term. All members of the Board shall serve
without compensation, except that they may be reimbursed
for necessary and proper expenses incurred while
performing their duties thereon.
