AN ACT concerning

Lobster — Minimum Size

FOR the purpose of increasing the minimum size for the
possession, sale, offer of sale, or transportation
of lobsters.

BY repealing and re-enacting, with amendments,

Article — Natural Resources

Section 4—901

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1974 Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 4-901 of Article - Natural
Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume
and 1974 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article — Natural Resources

4-901.

A person may not possess, sell, offer to sell, or
transport any egg bearing or scraped lobster or any
lobster Measuring less than three and [one-eighth]
THREE—SIXTEENTHS inches from the rear end of the eye
socket along a line parallel to the center line of the
body shell (carapace) to the rear of the body shell
(carapace).

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

Approved March 25, 1975.
