AS REQUIRED BY THIS TITLE, THE ADMINISTRATOR SHALL BRING
AN ACTION IN A COURT OF APPROPRIATE JURISDICTION TO
ENFORCE THE DELIVERY.

(B) FAILURE TO REPORT.

ANY PERSON WHO WILLFULLY FAILS TO RENDER ANY REPORT
OR PERFORM ANY OTHER DUTY REQUIRED BY THIS TITLE IS
SUBJECT TO A FINE OF $5 FOR EACH DAY THE REPORT IS
WITHHELD, BUT NOT MORE THAN $500.

(C) FAILURE TO PAY OR DELIVER PROPERTY.

ANY PERSON WHO WILLFULLY REFUSES TO PAY OR DELIVER
ABANDONED PROPERTY TO THE ADMINISTRATOR AS REQUIRED BY
THIS TITLE IS SUBJECT TO A FINE OF NOT LESS THAN $500 NOR
MORE THAN $1,000 OR IMPRISONMENT FOR NOT MORE THAN SIX
MONTHS OR BOTH.

17-128. SHORT TITLE.

THIS TITLE MAY BE CITED AS THE MARYLAND UNIFORM
DISPOSITION OF UNCLAIMED PROPERTY ACT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 95C, §26/.

It is Modified to refer to the "Maryland"
Uniform Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act
to indicate that a citation is to the Uniform
Act as enacted by the State of Maryland and
not to the Official Text or to the act as
adopted by other states. The change conforms
to revision guidelines, as previously adopted
in other articles of the Code.

No other change is made.

GENERAL REVISOR'S NOTE

On the advice and recommendation of the Unclaimed
Property Division of the Comptroller's Office, the
Commission to Revise the Annotated Code proposes that
Article 95C, §§ 27 through 33, which relates to postal
savings system accounts, be decodified and transferred to
the session laws. Federal Pub. L. 92—117, enacted in
August 13, 1971, provides for the distribution of
unclaimed Postal Savings System deposits to the states,
